And of course we are talking about sensible sun exposure here. Like with anything else common sense has to be used when you are exposing yourself to sun raises.
One of the biggest reasons to get out and get some sun, is that many are vitamin D deficient. Vitamin D is also known as the sunshine vitamin.
Vitamin D is essential for good health and disease prevention. Exposure to the sun helps to produces vitamin D an also has been known for the production of nitric oxide, a compound that lowers blood pressure.
Vitamin D helps support cardiovascular health, healthy kidney function, promote healthy teeth, enhances your muscle strength, produce optimal blood pressure levels, helps keep bones strong and healthy, maintain immune system, and also reduces risk of cancer.
I love information from Dr. Mercola, here are 5 note worthy properties of sunshine I found in one of his articles
1. Pain-killing (analgesic) properties
2.Increased subcutaneous fat metabolism
3. Regulation of human lifespan
4. Daytime sun exposure improves evening alertness
5. Conversion to metabolic energy (ei. we may “ingest” energy directly from the sun, like plants do).

Also it’s important to stay safe while enjoying the summer sun.
It is not necessary to wear sunscreen every time you step outside, but of course be cautious.
When you are out for prolonged periods of time, make sure you use a good quality all natural sunscreen.
Consuming a healthy diet full of antioxidants, omega fatty acids from unprocessed raw food is your best 1st line of defense against sunburns.
